Four journalism students place at National Student Journalism Contest

This weekend four journalism students placed at the Journalism Education Association’s spring National Student Media Contest in San Francisco. 

Over 1,000 students competed, and JEA recognized 493 with awards. 83 students were awarded superior, 153 were awarded excellent and 257 were awarded honorable mention. 

Junior Ayanna Wright received an excellent in portrait photography, senior William Henderson received an honorable mention in feature photography, junior Laurisa Rooney received an honorable mention in yearbook theming and design and junior Kaidence Williams received an honorable mention in press law and ethics.
