Panther's Tale

Fashion’s what you make it

The Panther’s Tale

Long skirt or dress, cute hairdo and a pair of heels. This is what a casual daily outfit looks like for freshman Trinidi McConnell.

Dressing modestly is apart of McConnell’s pentecostal religion, but McConnell said that wearing heels makes her “feel beautiful and stay confident” and dressing up is something she enjoys doing.

Ashley Lindstrom on the other hand has a different view on choosing outfits.

Band, school work, swimming and running take precedence, so jeans or athletic shorts, vans or slides and a band T-shirt are usually her go-to outfit because “other things are more important in her daily schedule.”

Lindstrom’s process of picking out her outfit for the day is simply “seeing if it works.”

Next there’s cheerleader Haylee Nickel, who loves wearing colorful athletic capris, cheer shoes or tennis shoes, and, of course, a cheer shirt.

Nickel wants to be able to easily flip and twist all day long without having to worry about comfort. Haylee has an outgoing personality and her outfits show that in the colorful patterns she chooses.
All three students have different styles and different ways of showing who they are through the way they dress. It doesn’t matter what you wear, as long as you are true to yourself while doing it.
