Hollyball candidates, representatives announced

Voting for the Hollyball Court is Wednesday and Thursday during homeroom. The king and queen will be announced at the dance on Saturday, which is from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

The Hollyball candidates and class representatives were nominated by teachers.

“We asked for candidates who are well-rounded, in clubs, involved in sports, participate in activities before or after school, have good grades and are generous and kind to staff and students,” KAY club co-sponsor Megan MacKay said.

The KAY Club Board decided to have class representatives this year, which is new.

“Because Hollyball is a dance for everyone, they wanted everyone to be to involved in the Court,” MacKay said. “We are excited to try something new and looking forward to see the student response.”

MacKay is thankful for the support for KAY club.

“As new KAY Club sponsors, (Emily) Coffey and I have really had to fumble our way through this event. We are beyond grateful for the help of the staff at DHS, and, most importantly, the help of our phenomenal student KAY Board,” MacKay said. “We have a great bunch of students and are hoping to see this club continue to build more student leaders as we grow.”
