Football rolls again, this time against Newton

Derby faced off against Newton in its first away game of the season and rolled to a 55-7 win.

The Panthers’ offense is becoming more dangerous with the play of quarterback Grant Adler and Tre Washington, both juniors. Derby is averaging 55.7 points a game.

Adler threw three touchdown passes to Washington, sophomore Davin Simms and junior Cavion Walker for a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.

Derby’s defense is equally as lethal and has given up 13 points.

With a season record of 3-0, the Panthers will play Bishop Carroll (2-1) on Sept. 21.
