Burger King has joined the race for the best chicken sandwich. In my opinion it doesn’t stack up to Popeye’s, but it is the best option we have in Derby.

The best part about this sandwich is the meat Burger King uses. It is much better than their original sandwich, which used heavily processed meat. 

The sandwich is a good size. I wouldn’t say it’s big, but it’s definitely not small — bigger than Chick-fil-A, but smaller than Popeye’s for sure. The breading is really crunchy. 

The pickles are big and crunchy, but they have a really strong sweetness to them that I don’t like. The sauce is tangy and gives the sandwich a nice tang. 

The war for the best chicken sandwich continues, but here is my take on who is doing it best.

Burger King is the best option in Derby.

But who knows, maybe Taco Bell will release a chicken sandwich. Hey, it could happen. Burger King sells tacos.
