According to KWCH, several schools across Kansas have had false 911 calls today, including El Dorado, Wichita North, as well as other districts.

This is commonly known as swatting, which became an epidemic several years ago. 

Swatting is defined as making a prank call to an address in an attempt to bring a heavy amount of emergency dispatchers to the location.

“​​Obviously we will take any call that might be made seriously and will investigate as soon as possible,” assistant principal Shane Seeley wrote in an email. “Both of our SRO’s are in the building and would be the first notified of any 911 call made about DHS.”
