Seniors Noah Johnson and Brandon Becker lead the senior section in a Derby High tradition, the Rollercoaster. Johnson and Becker were chosen to be the student section leaders this year by the senior class.

Senior Sydney Bradley keeps a straight face while performing the fall dance routine. The Pantherettes come up with a new dance for each assembly. “We learned this routine from our summer dance camp. I really enjoyed performing it,” Bradley said.

Sophomore Chloe Eyhorn smiles at the camera while waiting to flip. Eyhorn has been cheering for two years. “I really like cheering because it gets me involved and I have more school spirit,” Eyhorn said.

Junior Jadonn Jenkins waits along the sideline for her queue to move. Jenkins has been on varsity cheer since her freshman year. “I was so nervous, I didn’t know anyone very well and thought I wouldn’t get accepted,” Jenkins said. “But many of them were so nice to me and made me feel like apart of the team super quick.”

Junior Colton Jaynes plays the cymbals alongside the Drumline. Jaynes has been on the Drumline since his freshman year. “It’s been very fun but requires a lot of dedication,” Jaynes said. “I’ve had to give up a lot of time.”
