The Panthers dominated Bishop Carroll on Friday in a 56-14 victory, their second straight win.
The defense had a big game allowing only two touchdowns. Carroll’s quarterback was flushed out of the pocket many times which led to multiple tackles for loss.
“The big focus was to get 3 and outs early on in the game,” Kikoa Indalecio said.
Despite Carroll’s center Hank Purvis standing at 6’5, and weighing 325, the defense had an effective pass rush.
“We knew their key players and how to stop them, we were very prepared throughout the week,” Indalecio said.
Offensively the Panthers racked up a total of 523 yards, 332 yards on the ground, 191 in the air. Freshman Arieus Finley and senior Derek Hubbard each had over 100 yards rushing — Finley had three rushing touchdowns, while Hubbard had two rushing and one receiving touchdown.
“When I run I think if I don’t score I’m going to look slow,” Finley said.
Quarterback Braxton Clark and junior Da’saahn Brame were locked in, connecting for two touchdown passes.
The Panthers will play against Hutchinson on Sept. 22.
