After spending two years on junior varsity, Austin Ediger was named the Panthers’ starting center in 2022.
“I love the sport and it’s something I have always done,” said Ediger, a senior.
His love and passion for football has propelled him above and beyond what he thought he could do.
Playing center is a difficult position that most football players can’t do as well as Ediger.
“Becoming varsity for the first time was really nerve-wracking, but it’s something I stepped up to do and did it well,” Ediger said. “Without me they wouldn’t be able to run any plays.”
The goal is getting to the Class 6A championship in November.
“State 2023,” Ediger said.
