Quarterback Braxton Clark was ruled out for Friday’s Homecoming game against Campus after suffering a tear in his kidney in the win at Hutchinson on Sept. 22.
“He’s doing all right,” said coach Brandon Clark, the quarterback’s father. “He was in the hospital Saturday and Sunday.”
Clark said defensive back Easton Splane will be the starting quarterback on Friday.
He was the third string QB but stepped up to play in the Class 6A semifinals after Braxton Clark suffered an injury at Manhattan. Clark started his first game in the semis after then senior quarterback Brock Zerger’s season ended with an injury in the quarterfinals.
