If you are alive on this earth, you have probably heard of the one and only Taylor Swift.
Swift has been on tour since March, and it has been wildly popular, becoming the highest-grossing tour by a woman as of August. It is second only to Elton John’s five-year farewell tour.
The singer announced a concert film of the tour in late August.
Swift announced some early showings of the movie on Oct. 12.
Tickets cost $19.89, which is a little easter egg for her fifth album titled “1989”.
The tour was filmed in August at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The movie made $96 million in its first four days.
Known for excessive merchandise, there are many things to buy at your local movie theater, including things like cups, popcorn buckets, light-up batons and tote bags. Upon your entry, you should even receive a free mini poster.
Some people noticed that fan favorite songs were cut from the event, which was a big let-down for some.
“I am so sad about it. I get it though, she (Swift) probably didn’t want to make an almost 3 hour movie,” said sophomore Ariana Brosius.
Many fans dressed up for the movie.
Additionally, there have been reports of people stealing cardboard cutouts promoting the movie at the theater.
Needless to say, the movie and tour have been of great success, and it doesn’t look like the popularity will end any time soon for Swift.
