Most people don’t know a lot about rugby, but for those who want to know, check out the Wichita Barbarians. They are a very good local team to watch. Their next home game is Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. at Harrison Park.

Some basic rules to know:

1. You must tackle below shoulders.

2. When passing the ball you can only pass side-to-side or backwards.

3. A try, which is like a touch down in football, is five points.

4. After a try you must kick the ball for two more points, but you must kick it at the angle of where the person set the ball down for a try at.

5. You cannot throw the ball like a football.

6. The game does not stop so if the ball is dropped. You can pick it up and run with it.
