This Friday the Panthers take on Newton at Riverfront Stadium. Riverfront is a stadium field used by the double-AA baseball team the Wichita Wind Surge.
The field at Riverfront will be changed from the classic diamond shape into a 100 yard football field. This task can change a lot of the dynamics of the game.
“I wonder how they can even play at a baseball field,” teacher Sadie Robl said. A baseball field is made of very thin turf which can make getting tackled way more painful.
“It’s gonna hurt out there, junior Fardis Hossinei said. This is a big concern to the panthers as injuries have taken out star players like Braxton Clark and John Gadwood.
A win against Newton would extend a 7 game win streak for the Panthers, so how will they be able to adjust to the new environment at Riverfront
