The whole season has led up to these last moments, the Regional games.
“I think we’re all pretty excited because you know we have a good team this year,” sophomore Dallas Tritt said.
Tritt is on varsity boys soccer and knows that the team has been working with each other this season to improve their attitudes towards other teams and the referees. Tritt believes they can make it to state if they continue to work together.
Regionals are extremely stressful for athletes especially if they expect to go to state in their sport.
It is the team’s last chance to qualify for state and is what they train for the whole season.
“I think that the stress of it has built up so much throughout the year that it’s diluted the day before,” junior Ellison Beran said.
Beran is on the varsity cross country team and has been working hard all season to get to the goals she’s set for herself.
“I think that if I keep a good mental space and be positive the whole time I think I’ll be fine,” she said.
Sophomore Lillian Like is on the varsity volleyball team and believes that her team has been working really hard at practices so they’re going to do well.
“Encourage each other and work together to overcome the stress,” Like said.
Overall the Panther sport teams have worked so hard this season to come as far as they have and are ready for regionals.
