For many students, the most dreaded week of the first semester is finals week. Following Monday, there are two finals each day starting with Finals for the 8th and 9th blocks on Dec. 12.
With break almost here, staying focused and preparing for tests composed of all the material learned throughout the school year could be hard.
“I’m already really busy at this time of year. Finals are stressful and difficult, (but also) take place at the worst times for me,” said sophomore Emma Searle.
Testing is a severely nerve-wracking process that doesn’t make or break a student’s final grade.
Additionally, several students find finals being a full week unnecessary.
“I think finals week should be condensed to just Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, so study and do the work on Monday and have finals on Tuesday and Wednesday,” said sophomore Amy Chase.
This begs the question of whether or not finals should be altered.
“The school shouldn’t space out finals to last the whole week because it leaves a lot of students with nothing to do,” Chase said.
