Every class has that one student whose earbud never fails to be in.
Music can help people focus, even though some, including teachers, may disagree.
“[I listen to music] When not taking notes and just doing schoolwork,” senior Landen Tucker said. “I will plug in my earbuds and play music for the whole time that I don’t need to listen to anybody else.”
Some people don’t stick to just when doing schoolwork.
“I lower the volume so I can get the information that she’s saying,” freshman Vivian Hernandez said.
The act of listening to music helped people concentrate.
“I just feel like it makes me concentrate more on what the teacher is saying,’ Hernandez said. “It helps me with my anxiety.”
A lot of people have reasons to listen while doing work.
“It definitely helps me get out my excessive energy,” Tucker said.
People like junior Donovan McKaig feel strongly for what they listen to.
“I’m pretty passionate about music,” McKaig said. “Music has been a big part of my life, it’s been played around me everywhere.”
