The robotics team took part in a competition on Saturday. It was an outstanding day for many and for the program as a whole.
Four of the six groups qualified for finals, succeeding in 56 qualifying rounds just to get to the finals where they were half of the finalists. One team went on to place 3rd.
“The team that placed third gets to compete at the state championship,” robotics teacher Mary Morgan said. “Ultimately we are trying to get a spot at nationals and then to worlds.”
The program had a team at the world’s competition last year. They look to return and hope to have more teams qualify for state.
