As a senior, the first thought is, ‘I’m almost done’ or ‘Just a couple months till I can leave’. But what if something is missed? Keeping someone from graduating and you have to stay longer. What about college?
It’s those things that put pressure on the seniors.
“I kind of just feel pressure to make sure I am preparing everything for next year when I start college,” senior Shelby Getchell said.
It’s essential to have everything you need so you can graduate on time.
“Things I have to take care of as a senior are scholarships and all the stuff to prepare me to go to college next year,” Getchell said.
If all of the requirements are met, the seniors will graduate in May, but it doesn’t stop the sadness it leaves behind.
“It is very hard to say goodbye to the activities I’ve been doing here at school. I’ve been in varsity band from my freshman to my senior year and it’s hard to think what my life will be like without that program,” Senior Emma Baldwin said.
Some know how long they’re going to college, but some might not know where to go.
“I knew that no matter what I was going to go to a four year university, so all I had to decide was where and what major, though that was hard to decide as well,” Baldwin said.
