At 1:40 p.m. students and staff will be dismissed from block 9 to go to the football field and meet with their homeroom teachers.
Everyone will be given solar eclipse glasses by their block 9 teachers before dismissal.
The eclipse is expected to be seen in complete totality at 1:48 p.m.
There is currently no scheduled time for everyone to come back in, but everyone will report back to their block 9 class and stay there for the rest of the day.
“Things like this you’ll remember when you look back and go, ‘Oh I remember that one time at school when I got to go out and do that,’ so I hope it makes some of those good memories, and it’s a learning experience too,” Principal Gretchen Pontious said.
