When teacher Dianna Beck moved to the Virtual e-Academy teaching position this year, some students were disappointed when they couldn’t take her creative writing class anymore.
Students who took Beck’s English 9 class last year enjoyed how much effort she put into her class every day.
“Mrs. Beck structured her class very well. She also did a great job of keeping the class quiet when it was needed and [she] was pretty nice to be around,” sophomore Caleb McEachern said.
While disappointed she can’t teach creative writing anymore, Beck is passionate in her decision to switch to online.
“Having graduated from an alternative high school myself, I truly understand how important it is to provide students with different pathways to success. This role allows me to connect with students in a new and meaningful way, offering them support and guidance that can make a real difference in their educational journey.”
