With the elections coming up in a little over a month, new adults are eager to get registered to vote.
One Wednesday and Thursday during lunch, accounting students have a booth set up outside of the bank in the commons for anyone 18 or older to register to vote.
“For the bank we have to do a special project… and this is my project — registering people to vote,” senior Brayden Smith said. “(I chose to do this) because it was easy to do. (I think it’s important for people to) serve our country and help with the election for our future.”
Although this project counted as a presentation for the band, some students did it for a different reason.
“It’s for our future president and I feel like we should, as students, have a say in that and they should take the opportunity to,” senior Jersey Ramirez said.
