The cross country team is heading to Rim Rock Farm for its annual meet.
The meet has 5,000 participants and around 15,000 spectators every year.
“The atmosphere is great,” junior Rowan Ake said. “You don’t get another time in front of 15,000 people in our sport, and 500 runners is wild.”
Going into the meet, Derby Is the third-ranked team in the region and has Lucas Kreutzer, the ninth-best runner overall in the state.
“I feel great about being ranked, but my mind stays focused on the postseason,” Kreutzer said. “The team is also doing great and we have a good shot to do great inn the postseason as a team.”
