As seasons change, so does the weather. For many students, that means a change in the type of clothing they wear.
“I love when it gets colder because I can wear cuter clothes, like hoodies and sweaters,” junior Savannah Linot said.
This past weekend, a cold front moved in that changed the high temperatures from being in the mid-80s to the low-60s, a monumental change for such a short amount of time.
Although the colder weather can bring opportunities for more expression, the weather still caught some off guard.
“When I left the house in the morning, that’s when I realized that I screwed up. It was already too late (to change) so I just went to school in shorts,” freshman Emma Casey said.
As students adapt to the newer temperatures, new fashion trends will break out.
“I think that Uggs are going to be popular again. I’ve already seen some people wearing them, even when it was still warm,” Linot said.
No matter what happens with the ever-changing Kansas climate, the real question is this: How will students let the weather affect what they wear every day, and how will new styles emerge from it?
