Sparkly, satin, tight, poofy, long, and short. For students, there are so many dresses to choose from.

With trends and styles changing, many wonder what will be in and what will be out for this year’s homecoming. 

Dress shopping can be very stressful and with so many girls in one store, it can get a little crowded, but some decided to take a different approach by ordering their dresses online. 

  “I ordered it off Amazon and I ordered about seven of them,” junior Kara Britton said. 

Selecting the right dress can be overwhelming; many try on multiple styles but still struggle to find the perfect one.

As students express their thoughts about finding the perfect dress, Britton shared details about her own choice: “My dress is black, not super poofy, but still goes down a little bit above the knees.”

Regardless TikTok is becoming increasingly popular, and many old trends are returning while new ones emerge. 

For instance, some people are opting for more of an easter dress style rather than the typical tight, sparkly dresses usually seen at homecoming.

This new style of homecoming dresses has sparked quite a bit of controversy online, with some people arguing that they don’t capture the traditional spirit of homecoming.

“Im not a fan because I feel like it’s not a homecoming feel,” sophomore Sunnie Gretchel

But overall people wear what they feel comfortable and happy in, at the end of the day trends come and go so get a dress that you like and makes you feel good.
