This past weekend, six members of the powerlifting club qualified for USPL Nationals in Wisconsin.
Freshman Milo Drehs, juniors France Cueto, Addy Greer, and Macy Renberger, and seniors Carson Griffin and Aron Starlin all went to Risk Barbell to compete.
“Me and all of the members of the team worked so hard to achieve this goal and now we are going to Nationals to compete for our school,” Cueto said.
Mitchell Welch helps run the club, and he couldn’t be more proud of what has been accomplished.
“We are proud of you guys, keep up the hard work.” Welch said.
This is no easy task, but dedication evidently guides you in the right direction.
“If a person works hard for their goals and achievements they can create their journey by taking one step at a time and being consistent with discipline and motivation,” Cueto said. “Anyone can dream, but it is just a dream, not reality.”
