Painting has been a hobby for sophomore Averie Tullis ever since she was little. 

Tullis always asked her mom to paint during free time when she was little. And since she is older now she can do it all the time. 

“It’s gotten to the point where my grandpa has built me furniture for my painting specifically,” Tullis said. 

Tullis also loves the silence and peacefulness of painting.

“It’s kind of a time where I can focus on something and really be involved in the task,” Tullis said. 

Some of her paintings have been put in local shows and she has sold one painting.

The fun and creativity comes out of her when she paints.

“Some days I will just sit in front of the canvas all day and forget to eat because I’m so engrossed in what I am doing,” Tullis said.
