Da’Saahn Brame joined an exclusive group at Derby on Friday when he was named the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year.
Brame, a 6-foot-6 tight end, joins 2023 grad Dylan Edwards and 2021 grad Lem Wash as the only football players to win the award at Derby.
“It’s a goal I’ve had for a while now,” Brame said. “It was incredible news to me. I worked so hard this year and it showed.”
Brame finished the year with 756 receiving yards and 14 touchdown receptions. He returned punts for the Panthers, as well.
