Engaging students is an essential part of teaching, especially in subjects like math. Jonathan Craft, a math teacher, prioritizes this factor in his classroom.
He does this by doing fun activities like a Murder Mystery where students have to solve the murder using scatter plots. Craft chose to do this activity as a replacement for a traditional test.
“Doing paper and pencil tests can get boring,” Craft said.
Research shows that students remember more information when participating in interactive and enjoyable activities.
