What got you into bowling?
“I’ve never been a part of much growing up and when I moved to Kansas, I saw a flyer about bowling leagues so I signed up and I’ve been in it ever since.”
What do you love about bowling?
“I love how it’s an escape. If I’m having a bad day, I know going to bowling will cheer me up and I love the people.”
What’s your favorite thing about your sport?
“Tournaments. They’re so fun and I get to meet a lot of new and different bowlers.
What relationships have you built from bowling?
“My best friend. We became friends when I joined bowling leagues 4 years ago and never stopped.”
What’s something about the bowling team that a lot of people don’t know?
“It looks easy, but it can actually be really hard at times. A lot of people say something like ‘what’s hard? You just throw a ball and hit pins,’ but there’s certain techniques and if you move lanes or go to a different bowling alley, there’s different oil patterns and you have to adjust to those lanes. And if you leave pins you need to adjust to pick them up and make a spare.”
