Schedules are an important part of daily life and there are two outcomes; you love it or absolutely hate it.
And all of this still holds true for second-semester schedules.
“I think it’s going to go pretty well, to be honest, and I think I’m going to do way better this year than last year,” sophomore Jake Black said.
Multiple students want their schedules changed to be in classes such as Acellus, which is an opportunity to gain lost credits.
“I think I have a few things to take care of because I am missing three and a half credits. So I’m going to try to talk to my counselor to get into Acellus,” junior Brayden Grevel said.
These problems people could face with their second-semester schedule could range from many things, such as placements or not having enough alternative classes.
“Some of the issues that come up are like placement,” counselor Joaquin Zapata said. “The biggest issue, probably, besides that, is kids don’t put enough alternatives or extra classes on their list, because things get full and if you don’t put anything extra, we don’t have anything to pick for you from so the more things you put on your paper, the more options you might have.”
Talking your counselor to figure out placement is an easy solution to any issues you may be facing.
“At the beginning of the year, sometimes we have the auditorium full with 100 people because they didn’t put enough things on their enrollment forms. So the only way I can fix it is in person, because I’m not just going to just put classes on your schedule,” Zapata said.
