“I’m Alberto Sambruno, I’m in 12th grade and I play rugby.”  

How did your sport as a rugby player start out and how is it different from now?

“So it started out 7 years ago in Italy. It’s more popular in Italy as I got into it as I walked into a park and started playing, and practicing rugby and thought it was fun. I started playing again here in America and yeah.”

 How does it feel playing rugby here in America?

“ I was a little nervous when I first started out, and I’ve been trying out for the Varsity team here in Derby.” 

what do you enjoy about this sport and what have you learned throughout this experience here in America?

“ It is a totally different experience and I am also nervous about making new friends here in America but also like I want to play varsity and get back to my sport again.”
