
On Saturday, the boys and girls wrestling teams wrapped up at state in Kansas City.
Senior Milan Colvin won at 285 pounds.
Alejandro Dieguez was third at 106.
Senior Liam Coultis was fourth at 138, and senior Zach Thomas was fourth at 157.
The team overall took seventh.
“Just knowing that my teammates and family are there to support me, and the whole Derby community,” Colvin said. “I transferred over here last year; they have just been welcoming like I’ve been here for the last three years.”
Colvin, who was 19-0, placed his wrestling shoes in the ring after his match.
“I’m going to celebrate with my brothers and my teammates for pushing me in practice and helping me in all the hard things I’ve been going through,” Colvin said
