Starting the first week of March, juice was only served during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
As prices in grocery stores increased so too did the distributors for school lunches, specifically juice.
“Since a lot of kids were taking fruit and juice, we had to limit the juice because it was very expensive,” cafeteria manager Angelika Koch said.
To some, this might not matter, to others like junior Remy Fowler it’s upsetting.
“They should bring back the juice. I love juice so much,” Fowler said.
Although there are other drink options, like milk, juice is often preferable.
For those who are lactose or dairy-intolerant, lunch options have now become even more slim.
But some students are unworried with the change.
“It just doesn’t affect me, I don’t care for the juice,” sophomore Marvin Samuel said.
