Students attend over 2,000 days of school from preschool to graduating high school.
It only makes sense to throw a party to celebrate this huge accomplishment in life.
“It is important to me because it feels like my family is planning a big day for me,” senior Sky Robbins said. “It makes me really happy that they care so much.”
Planning a party for such a big event can be difficult, especially when other students are having their parties, too.
“It definitely is,” senior Bella Penka said. “It’s just a bit stressful getting all my invitations out to everyone, planning the exact date and time due to everyone else also having parties around the same time.”
Some students don’t plan their parties; their parents do all the work for them.
“For me, I guess it wasn’t that difficult because my parents did it for me,” senior Aaron Gardiner said. “But I wouldn’t say it was difficult for them either.”
Sometimes there’s even a theme with the grad parties.
“Just a green and 2025 kind of theme,” senior Evian Curtis said.
Graduation is at 6:30 p.m. on May 18 at Koch Arena.
