Starting off the year, things have already changed. With lunches filled to the brim, a change was needed.

“We look at, and evaluate…every lunch…and see who can be moved around (to) keep them balanced,” principal Gretchen Pontious said.

The lunch periods were so full, there was minimal seating available. For one period, a record was set. 

“2nd lunch was the biggest in my three years that I’ve been here, and 5th lunch is usually really full because of the P.E classrooms,” assistant principal Shawn Bennett said.

Due to students’ college schedules, more thought went into the lunch change.

“We work around college schedules and make sure things run smoothly, teachers might have to have certain blocks for them,” Bennett said.
