With homecoming starting to creep up, ticket sales start.
But it’s not what you think.
Usually, to buy your homecoming ticket, you walk up to the finance office and buy the ticket from Ms. Tiffany, but now another task has been taken over by technology.
Ticket sales have gone from in-person to an online website called myschooldance.com, which is increasing the prices by two dollars and 15 cents.
These changes raise concerns for some students.
“It is so inconvenient; instead of simply going and handing my ten dollars in, I have to make an account and put all my info,” junior Violet Barger said.
But for some, it’s not about buying them online; it’s missing out on the physical memorabilia.
“I’ve kept every high school dance ticket since my freshman year; it’s upsetting that my senior year we don’t have a physical one for me to keep,” senior Maddy Wines said.
For others, they simply don’t care and find it more convenient.
“It doesn’t really affect me, so what I have to make an account at least I can do it whenever I want,” junior Horacio Christman said.
In the end, whether students miss the old way or are happy to buy tickets online, homecoming won’t be quite the same this year.
