In Business Economics, Chris Brittingham allows his students to interact with the material he’s teaching by making video presentations. They are not allowed to simply make a slideshow, like other classes.
The format of the presentations has allowed some students to go above and beyond in their efforts. In their presentation, Gage Campbell, Kaden Blackburn, Emma Flaharty, Sophia Nyuen, and Olivia Grosser analyzed Willy Wonka’s business and made a presentation acting out some of the iconic scenes in the movie.
“Gage was really the visionary here,” Blackburn said. “But it was really fun to make the scenes.”
In addition, they also made the chocolate bars to hand out in class, putting a golden ticket in only three of them.
“We just printed out the logos,” Campbell said. “We took a long time to cut them out until Kaden suddenly remembered he had a paper trimmer.”
They also got people who aren’t in Business Economics to join in: Jaydon Gonzalez, Drew Van Meter, and Jabin Pankratz.
