The Derby Panthers football team is ranked No. 18 in the nation according to PrepNation.

The Panthers worked hard this season to get to the championship game for the fifth straight season.  

“I was very excited to find out we were ranked No. 18 nationally,” senior quarterback Grant Adler said. “We have put in so much work over the season and to see it pay off was special.” 

The Panthers won their second straight Class 6A state championship game by beating Olathe North 63-26.
