Spring sports tryouts and practices start today.

There’s baseball, softball, girls swim, boys tennis, boys golf, girls soccer and track that students can compete in.

Also this week basketball starts the journey to state.

The girls team (18-2, seeded fourth) will open postseason play on Tuesday against Wichita West (6-14)  at 7 p.m. at home. If the Panthers win, they will play at home on Friday at 7.

The Derby boys (13-7) will play Wednesday at Derby, hosting Garden City (10-10) at 6 p.m. If they win they will likely play at Campus on Saturday at 6.
