There are mixed emotions with getting back to normal school activities. 

For junior Alivia Turner, those emotions are positive about being back with the marching band.

“It feels really good to be back to doing regular band again,” Turner said. “I kind of missed it for that time. We were either online or some (were) in person. We didn’t have any competition, so it’s pretty exciting.” 

She was online for her sophomore year and had to do band through a computer screen. 

“It was frustrating,”  Turner said. “Really, really frustrating because you couldn’t be with anybody else, therefore some people weren’t playing as well as if we were all together.”

Turner is excited for things she didn’t get to do for the past two years.

“I’m definitely getting excited about getting back to doing competitions,” she said.
