For the 2022 DHS Winter Olympics, the junior class of 2023 claimed their victory.

Junior Kade Sheldon, who was part of the junior team, celebrates.

“I stayed confident the whole time,” Sheldon said. “We all did, because our team is stacked and we really went in there with all the confidence in the world.”

For the work that goes into creating this team, junior Chloe Enslinger explains the process.

“We tried to get a lot of athletic people and a lot of people that we felt like were involved in a lot of things, not just kids that were really good at a certain sport,” Enslinger said. “But, the kids that like represented the school.”

The work that goes into making the team paid off.

“When we won it was so exciting,” Enslinger said. “It was surreal.”
