Vaping, playing, talking, everything but using the restroom is what security officer Kelley Baney sees when checking the bathrooms everyday.

“Well we sweep bathrooms all day long every day. Make sure nobodys skipping, nobody’s vaping nobodys having an emergency,” Baney said. “So we constantly keep our eyes out to make sure everything is kosher cause you know no cameras.”

Sweeping the bathrooms all day long adds up to quite a large amount of walking.

“First block was 5,700 steps which equals about 2.3 miles,” Baney said. 

DHS is a large school. It takes about five minutes to get from the Panther Learning Center all the way to Q hall. 

“I average about 12,000 (steps) a day,” Baney said.
