Baseball Update
April 4, 2022
Baseball is back, and the Panthers have two main returning pitchers to watch out for – senior Saben Seager and junior Mitchell Johnson.
Seager was one of the main pitchers last year for the Panthers when they finished third in Class 6A.
“Saben has a wipeout slider and developed a really good changeup to go with his plus fastball,” coach Todd Olmstead said.
Johnson also helped the team last year with their run to state and threw a no-hitter during the regular season.
“Mitchell uses a curveball and changeup to go with his plus plus fastball,” Olmstead said.
Not everyone’s role has been cemented yet, but Olmstead noted that junior Braden Horn had a huge start on Tuesday after hitting a homerun on his first at-bat.
