Girls swim took first at the Southeast invite April 23.

Four divers qualified for state, as well as several swimmers and all three relays, the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Junior Mia Drieling qualified in the 100 backstroke. She plans to cut one to two seconds and make it on the podium.

“I feel like since I qualified last year it was just kind of if I do it once I can do it again. So I wasn’t really concerned with qualifying but just getting a new personal best than I did at state last year,” Drieling said.

Freshman Carson Griffin also qualified in the 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle.

“Im really happy about it. Its just a really great opportunity to represent my school,” Griffin said.
