During Adams-Birch’s devotional, she spoke about being an A.C.E — Approach, Character  and Extraordinary self. She spoke for more than 20 minutes about this topic.

“Mrs. Adams-Birch did a great job connecting with the group,” junior FCA student leader Crew Squires said. “She told a story that was relatable and intriguing. She kept the gym captivated through the entirety of the lesson.”

Monday’s gathering was one of the largest gatherings for Derby High’s FCA. More than 70 kids showed up, about 25 more people than the average night.

“Our group is experiencing a steady growth week to week due to increased awareness,” FCA sponsor Emily Williams said.

Williams added that she can’t wait for more people to get involved as the year progresses.
