Page 4: Society’s views of women absolutely suck

I hate being a woman. No, let me rephrase.

I hate how women are treated. How they’re viewed to be a womb. Women are nothing. Women are an object. Women are sex symbols. Women are less than. Women are dumb.  Women are hysterical. Women are disrespected. Women are sexualized.

Why can’t we be more than our bodies? Why can’t we be funny? Why can’t we be smart?

My whole life I’ve felt like women’s lives revolve around men like there’s an obligation to serve them. Even in the Bible when Eve is made from Adam’s rib, it shows that women are only a part of a man, while Adam is made from God. Since the beginning of time, everyone has been indoctrinated to think that women serve men, we stay home and watch the kids, we clean and we cook.

Women have always been objectified. I can’t even watch TV without feeling the guilt of being a woman. I can’t stand the constant sexualization. Watching a “comedy” and seeing the jokes are about the only woman in the cast. She’s wearing a tight shirt and is a bimbo, she’s dumb because of the clothes she wears. The male characters are making her jump up and down, but she’s too dumb to understand what’s happening.

There is one more woman in the show – she’s snarky and is a total jerk. She’s called a lesbian the whole show because she wears T-shirts and jeans.

No matter what we do, what we wear or how we act, there’s always a constant judgment. The judgment isn’t always from men. Often it’s from other women. Why can’t we support each other? In a fantasy world, women don’t degrade each other, we compliment each other and we’re accepting. We aren’t getting support from anyone else, so why not support each other?

Then there’s Andrew Tate. What hope is there for women if young men are looking up to him and believing in his ideologies? When was it decided that hating women is cool? What happened to the men with similar ideologies to Tupac? Tupac believed that women were to be respected. He believed that we are people too.

When women feel emotional she’s “on the rag” or she’s “PMSing.” But when a man is angry, he’s just being a man. When a woman is sad, she’s hysterical or she shouldn’t be listened to. When a man is sad, it’s awesome that he’s showing his emotions.

Why can’t you all see we’re so much more?
