Yesterday marked the first of two days for the girls’ wrestling state competition.

Today, junior Amara Ehsa will be wrestling for first place to defend her title of state champion for 105 pounds.

Ehsa pinned all three opponents that she wrestled yesterday, and last year, was the first girl in Derby High history to win a state championship.
