On March fifth through March seventh, Derby High Schools DECA went to Johnson County Community College for the State Career Development Conference. There were over 750 students from all over the state of Kansas competing at the event. The following is the awards won at the conference:

Senior Esteban Macias won first in Human Resources Management

Senior Noah Yon won second in Food Marketing Sales

Senior Erick Huter won second in Automative Services Marketing

Sophomore Adrianna Dollarhide won third in Principles of Marketing

Seniors Thu Le, Andy Nguyen and Noah Yon won fourth overall in Hospitality and Tourism Operations Research

Sophomore Kennis Dorrell won sixth overall in Quickserve Restaurant Management
