March Madness

One basket ended the NCAA tournament for so many college basketball teams known as “March Madness”, as teams were knocked out of the competition the Final Four is coming soon. Many people at our school have tuned in to watch the highly entertaining tournament going on.

“I think it’s the best sporting event of all time,” said Teacher Jessica Fuller.

Lots of people consider March Madness in high regard, considering the Final Four is in the top five streamed sporting events in the United States.

Moreover, women’s basketball is making great strides thanks to players like Caitlyn Clark and Angle Reese.

“I feel like their ratings are doing better this year than the men… a lot more people are attending the women’s games this year because of Caitlyn Clark and others, which gets me really excited, and there are some exciting coaches too like Kim Mulkey and Dawn Staley,” says Fuller.

One of the current favorites is South Carolina, which happens to be her women’s Final Four pick.

“I would have to say South Carolina because of how strong they’re as a team,” said Mrs. Fuller.

As for the men’s Final Four, many are betting on UConn or Miami.

“I think UConn’s gonna win it all,” said Junior Gavin Houston.

As their fan base continues to grow, so does women’s basketball. This event will probably grow some of the overall interest in basketball, also.
