Study tips to help any student

The ACT, PSAT and ACT Aspire tests are approaching in October. Some students have their own ways to prepare.

“I love writing things down and color coding them,” senior Abby Grief said. “It really helps me remember when a new topic starts.”

Color coding is just one way to ready yourself for an upcoming test. Grief also recommends writing things down multiple times to reinforce learned material.

Taking breaks between difficult tasks is also a good strategy.

“If you’re not getting it, take a break and come back to it when you’re less worked up about it,” Grief said.

Her final study tip is to ask teachers for help with your homework.

“If you have questions ask your friends or email your teacher, come in after school or even for advisory,” Grief said. “Always be there to ask lots of questions.”
